Train staff

Your staff is the best way to grow your Mobile List because they can personally introduce the program to customers, answer questions, and encourage a fan to sign up on the spot.

In order to be effective at encouraging mobile sign-ups, your staff should be trained on:

  • A complete introduction to the program: why you are doing it, how it works, and what offers are involved.
    • They should be able to describe the type of offers that may be included in the program, the frequency of offers.
    • They can also explain that a customer can opt out at any time.
  • An explanation of how customers subscribe. The easiest way to do this is to have staff members take out their own phones and subscribe themselves so that they are familiar with the process.

You can encourage your staff to talk about the program by creating a staff competition to see who (or what shift) can get the most sign-ups.

  • If you are measuring results by staff member, they can ask the customers to respond to the Welcome Message with their name.
  • If you are measuring results by shift, you can monitor the sign-up times.
