R.I.P. 37Startups
By Paul Rosenfeld on December 17th, 2008
It’s now five weeks since i started a Yahoo Group for the 37 start-ups who sat together at a recent Keiretsu Forum Bootcamp. The idea of the group was to create a safe place to ask and answer questions for those going through similar times – ie, start-up phase.
After much prodding, poking, and inviting, only a few people showed up to the party and we’ve had just a couple of stilted but somewhat useful conversations.
It’s a bit disappointing. I would have hoped for more people to both commiserate with and help out. Won’t stop other ideas from happening, but I guess I’m wondering what I learned:
- Don’t put yourself out there? nah.
- People are busy and may not have time to reach out: yep.
Hmmm, can’t think of much else.
