Like the old saying goes, “when it’s good, it’s good and when it’s bad, it’s bad.” This can be said for the restaurant business during the holidays and new year. January can often be tough for restaurants; the holiday spending is over and people are spending more time trying to stick to new years resolutions.
So how do you keep customers returning to your restaurant during the slow time of January? Well, there are a number of ways you can keep up return visits.
For one, you can use the tactic of “the secret envelope” or “the Santa Envelope.” Which ever way you want to call it, this is a very effective way of getting some of those visitors from busy December to come back in slow January.
